Koester Construction is looking to add a full-time carpenter who is willing to travel to our self-perform team. Koester Construction is a commercial general contractor, known for its culture of teamwork and integrity. Commercial construction carpentry experience is required, and a positive attitude is a must.

A valid Iowa driver's license and reliable transportation are required for this position. The applicant must be physically able to lift, push, pull 50+ lbs, be on time, and dependably show up for work each day. Pay will be based on experience and skill set.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years commercial carpentry experience
• Willingness to work weekends if needed
• Willingness to travel out of state when needed
• Physically able to lift, push, pull 50+ lbs
• Ability to bend, sit, stand, kneel, and walk on uneven terrain
• Ability to climb ladders and work at height
• Valid driver's license (must be insurable)
• Reliable transportation, punctuality, and reliability
• Must own basic hand tools, and have the ability to use/operate basic carpentry tools

Essential Job Functions:

• Lift, push, pull materials weighing up to 50+ lbs
• Use hand and power tools to perform tasks as assigned
• Perform sustained physical labor, including standing, walking, and crouching
• Perform work at height, including climbing ladders
• Perform work in confined or awkward spaces
• Read printed and digital materials
• Communicate professionally, both verbal and written communication
• Adhere to all safety standards
