About Us: The client is a leading financial services firm.

Position Overview: The Sr System Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining our IT infrastructure, ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our systems. This role requires extensive experience in networking, server administration, storage management, and some knowledge of Trading Systems and VPM (Virtual Portfolio Manager).

Key Responsibilities:

• System Administration: Manage and maintain servers, storage systems, and network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Networking: Design, implement, and manage network solutions, including LAN, WAN, and VPN configurations.
• Trading System: Administer and support our proprietary Trading System, ensuring seamless operation and integration with other systems.
• VPM: Oversee the administration and maintenance of VPM (Virtual Portfolio Manager) systems.
• Security: Implement and maintain security protocols to protect data and systems from unauthorized access and threats.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members, developers, and business units to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
• Upgrades and Patches: Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and migrations to ensure systems are up-to-date and secure.
• Monitoring: Implement and manage monitoring tools to proactively identify and address potential issues.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in IT, preferably with a few years at a financial services company.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in networking, server administration, and storage management.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as MCSE, CCNA, or equivalent are preferred.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
