Position Duties/Responsibilities - Counsel prospective students with regard to admissions, transfer credit, residency, and other university polices
- Assist prospective students in person, over the phone, texting, video messaging, and via email
- Manage a recruitment territory by managing the number of inquiries, applicants, and enrolled students
- Enter prospective student data into the Student Information System and/or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system as well as maintain and run reports for the assigned territories
- Maintain current knowledge of Banner (Student Information System), Recruit (CRM), BDM (scanning system), Argos, and other systems used by the University
- Travel during and after normal business hours and overnights to represent the university at recruitment events and activities year round
- Prepare and send correspondence to applicants
- Maintain recruiting reports for all recruiting events attended
- Conduct recruitment presentations on and off campus
- Schedule and conduct personal campus tours as well as large group tours
- Build mutually beneficial, positive working relationships with assigned high school counselors and counterparts at other institutions
- Maintain a positive working relationship with faculty and staff in all departments
- Organize and plan outreach opportunities with community leaders, organizations, and groups
- Plan travel according to state travel guidelines
- Conduct all duties in a manner which provides a positive reflection of the University
- Complete all other duties as assigned by the Director of Recruiting or the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management
Required/Preferred Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Willing to extensively travel and work non-traditional hours
- Highly self-motivated
- Effective multi-tasking and organizational skills
- Ability to lift 30 lbs on a regular basis;
- Valid driver's license, excellent driving record, and access to reliable transportation.

Transcripts from Foreign Universities: Prospective faculty submitting transcripts from foreign universities or schools must have the coursework evaluated for equivalency to United States-accredited coursework by a University-approved agency. The prospective faculty member is responsible for the cost of the evaluation. McNeese typically accepts evaluations by World Education Services ( or Educational Credential Evaluators, Inc.
