Recruiter Job Description

At Chaparral Insulation Co. our people are the most important resource. We're looking for a skilled recruiter to join our team and help us find the right people for the right roles for our corporate office in Waco, TX and branch locations across multiple states (currently TX, GA, TN, NC, SC).

The ideal candidate will have experience in recruitment, along with knowledge of the screening, interviewing and hiring processes. We're seeking someone who's passionate about discovering untapped talent, driving company growth and helping people develop successful careers.

Responsibilities of this role

  • Collaborate with managers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the company's hiring needs for every role across our footprint
  • Meet competitive hiring goals and expectations for entry to senior level roles
  • Manage the full recruiting lifecycle across a variety of open roles and locations, helping managers find, hire and retain quality candidates
  • Remain active with job boards and social networks for finding quality candidates
  • Create and post job descriptions and announcements
  • Travel to career fairs and campus recruiting events to represent the company
  • Screen resumes and manage job candidates throughout hiring process, from interview preparation to final-offer negotiation
  • Create and maintain database of candidate records, including active and passive prospects, hired and fired employees and other designations
  • Conduct initial interviews to assess applicant's skills, knowledge and cultural fit
  • Provide regular updates to hiring managers on the status of open positions
  • Assist with employer branding initiatives and marketing including in-person events and across social media platforms
  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to promote the company and attract qualified candidates

Required Qualifications

Required skills and qualifications

  • Proven work experience or education in recruitment or similar role
  • Strong communication skills to interact with potential candidates, understand their needs and effectively convey job roles and company culture
  • Ability to handle data with confidentiality
  • Advanced knowledge of productivity software, database management, digital recruitment tools, and internet search methods
  • Familiarity with job boards and computer systems designed specifically for recruitment
  • Proven success in conducting interviews using various methods (phone, video, email, in-person)
  • Ability to travel when required (50-75% of time)
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Exceptional time management skills to handle multiple job openings and tasks simultaneously without compromising the quality of work
  • A keen eye for detail to ensure job postings are accurate, clear and appealing to potential applicants
