Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will provide essential support to healthcare professionals in an office setting. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with medical procedures, providing patient care, and offering administrative support.
Duties:
- Assist healthcare professionals with medical procedures, including taking patient vitals, collecting specimens, and administering medications.
- Provide direct patient care including various office based procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and record results accurately.
- Prepare examination rooms for patient visits and ensure cleanliness and organization.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health record systems.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients, healthcare professionals, and other staff members.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and professional work environment.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support techniques.
- Proficiency in medical administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing electronic health records, and handling billing processes.
- Ability to provide compassionate patient care while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and other staff members.
- Familiarity with medical office operations and the ability to navigate through various referrals and departments.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is highly desirable.
- Previous experience working in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
- Must have excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Pay: $25.00 - $27.50 per hour
