RN/ LPN MDS Nurse for Skilled Nursing Home

RN or LPN. MDS experience a MUST. Must have knowledge of PDPM, and Time-Weighted CMI in NC. Will work closely with Clinical Reimbursement. Research skills and excellent attention to detail required. Full Time Position with benefits package available.

Qualifications:

Must be (RN or LPN) in good standing andcurrently licensed by the state of NorthCarolina

Must be knowledgeable of general guidelines,laws and regulations governing long-term care

Must have previous experience in long term care

Previous experience in MDS completion ispreferred

Duties and Responsibilities:

MDS scheduling and management of MDS Department

Completion of MDS assessments timely and accurately

Participates in the care planning process and attendsmeetings as scheduled

Monitors C.N.A. documentation for completeness andaccuracy

Works with team members to assure good communicationof resident needs and goals

Participates in new employee orientation as directed

Participates in providing in-service training forstaff as directed

Expectations:

Be well versed in how MDS affects both clinical andfinancial issues

Remain up to date on any changes affecting thecompletion of MDS

Have up tp date knowledge of PDPM as well as OBRA scheduling for optimum reimbursement

Remain up to date on clinical standards

Attend mandatory training sessions as required
