The next generation of agriculture workers. Due to (insurance rules and regulations) requiring applicants to be of legal age to perform certain types of work, Heartland Co-op has created a window of opportunity for many high school students, who are looking to get their foot in the door, working in the agricultural industry. This lead-in opportunity opens the door for those students to come in and gain practical experience in functions that are allowable by said insurance (restrictions/exclusions). - The type of experience you will obtain in these High School Agriculture openings will be dictated by the (insurance restrictions/exclusions) referenced above, as well as the needs of the specific location.
- When not working on allowable projects, those hired in these roles will have the ability to observe other functions being carried out, learning the ropes, similar to job shadowing, just longer term (not a single day job shadow).

Education/Experience: Current High school students pursuing their diploma or general education degree (GED).
Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: No Computer skills are needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
