About the position Brand Designer - Violife
At Upfield, our mission is to enhance health and happiness through delicious, plant-based nutrition products. We are currently seeking a Brand Designer to partner with the internal Design Team to lead our global design strategies for the Violife brand.
Reporting to the Head of Design and Consumer Experience, this role is pivotal within our dynamic, cross-functional team.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a unique individual who can not only excel in performance but also bring an innovative approach that can transform our industry standards. As a (Senior ) Brand Designer, you will be an integral part of the Design and Consumer Experience Hub. In partnership with your Team you will ensure an authentic, meaningful, relevant, and engaging brand experience for our consumers. Quick thinking, creativity, innovation, and an entrepreneurial spirit are essential for this role.
You and your team will bridge brand and customers-and between the portfolio and the community-to create new ways to connect with people, make an impact, and leave a lasting impression. From initial sketches to final executions, your work will tell compelling stories through various media. As the (Senior) Brand Designer, you have endless opportunities to drive narratives through mixed media. You will craft stories through every social, cultural, digital lens, creating activations that resonate globally and locally. You are a visionary in your creative workstreams, collaborating with leadership, team members, and partners to deliver world-class creative work daily.
- Deeply understand customers and how a brand, customer, and consumer can best interact in memorable end-to-end experiences.
- Balance long-term, complex design activities with short-term impactful moments (activations), measuring success in both arenas.
- Develop brand and activation toolkits with clear brand guidelines.
- Support creative direction for all workstreams, focusing on transformative, immersive experiences.
- Center work on excellence, from inspiration to vision, concept to narrative, and consumer journey.
- Partner with stakeholders to define and codify experiential brand language through materials, finishes, colors, lighting, sounds, etc.
- Clearly communicate ideas through visualization and effective presentations to cross-functional internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage the creative process from brief to execution, emphasizing concept visualization.
- Define all design elements, including identity, typography, iconography, illustrations, animations, etc.
- Exhibit expertise in defining design materials, including textures, materials, and more.
- Balance creativity with project management, dreaming up world-class executions while managing projects effectively.
- Extend your reach by connecting with freelancers and agency partners as needed.
Requirements: - 2-5 years of experience as a Brand Designer or in a similar role at an agency or in-house design team, with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of branding projects and design work.
- Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout techniques.
- Ability to create visually appealing and cohesive designs that align with brand guidelines.
- Familiar with digital design, including social media graphics, web design, and other online platforms.
- Video editing capabilities
- Ability to visualize how a brand's identity translates onto various packaging formats and shapes.
- Knowledge of 3D rendering or prototyping tools for presenting and mocking up packaging designs.
- Familiar with print production processes, color management, and pre-press procedures specific to packaging design.
- Experience collaborating with print vendors to ensure accurate and high-quality execution of packaging materials
